What does La Brujería do?
La Brújería's mission is to offer skin and healthcare products made from 100% natural Icelandic and Mexican ingredients. Besides introducing the powerful properties of the Aztec root, La Brujeria also aims to bring Mexican culture to Icelanders, as well as support disadvantaged communities in Mexico.

As La Brujería uses the healing power of nature to create an amazing range of skin, health and beauty products, we feel we ought to give something back to Mother Earth.
To ensure our products are sustainable, we trade with regenerative farmers, and ensure they receive a fair price for their produce (fairtrade). It‘s our way of supporting communities, and making a small corner of the world a better place. (We use minimal, plastic-free packaging to boot!)

How did La Brujería start?
Bizarrley, the story of La Brujería begins in Colombia, with a case of terrible toothache.
When travelling in Mexico I (Alexandra, founder and CEO of La Brujería) came down with awful toothache. Fortunately, an elderly Mexican man I happened to meet gave me a curious spray. As soon as I put it in my mouth, the pain subsided, and over time the infection healed. This later became the famous Aztec Spray I now sell in my shop.
After this experience, I grew curious about Mexican herbalism. I returned to Mexico to live and work with my mysterious hero, whose name turned out to be Vampiro, in his small house in the forest. There, we would visit remote communities, teaching women how to cure common ailments using locally sourced, natural ingredients. We encouraged the people we met to use this new knowledge to their advantage, and began supporting local trade. Wherever we went, we ensured that part of our work involved reforesting.
My passion for herbal medicine was born. I spent hours picking Vampiro‘s brains, asking about herbs for skin, for hormones, and so on. I began to experiment with recpies for facial oils and other products. Since then, I have developed and perfected the La Brujería range.
Living with Vampiro was like living with an open book about nature herself, and I will always be grateful for the lessons he, and the forest, taught me.
